Silver Clay - Beginners Workshop

This is a beginners workshop designed for you to create lovely, shiny pendants and earrings using the very magical silver clay. We have a huge range of texture plates and moulds available on the day to help create your pieces to your own design, and of course guidance and support in creating your own personal design. Depending on the size of the pieces that you want to make, there is enough silver clay included in the price to make a large pendant, or a smaller pendant and a pair of small matching earrings. Silver Clay is a really enjoyable and easy way to take the first steps towards making your own silver jewellery. Beginners can achieve some really lovely results. On the course you will do the following; • Explore your tools and learn what each does • Spend some time planning your pieces and creating designs • Mould the clay • Dry the clay • File, sand and tidy the dried piece • Torch fire the piece • Complete the final file, sand and tidy of the fired piece • Add jump rings to complete the pieces Timings for the course are estimates, and as its not a project that can be finished at home the session will continue until your piece is finished.
