Frequently Asked Questions
Is it safe?
Yes—welding is quick, controlled, and completely safe. The only exception is for those people who have pacemakers, unfortunately we cannot weld the jewellery but could create a piece with a clasp.
Does it hurt?
Not at all. The process is painless and takes just a few moments.
Can it be removed?
Yes—your jewellery can be removed if needed by simply cutting the small welded link.
What if it breaks?
We’re happy to advise or help with repairs if needed.
Can I have an MRI scan with permanent jewellery?
All of our permanent jewellery chains are silver, which is not magnetic. Many NHS trusts and imaging centres will check jewellery with a magnet before a scan and, if it is confirmed as non-magnetic and does not affect the area being scanned, they may allow it to remain on.
However, MRI policies can vary between hospitals and clinics, so we always recommend checking with your medical team in advance. If your jewellery does need to be removed, it can be safely cut at the welded link and re-welded after your scan.
