Does permanent jewellery hurt?

Not at all. The welding process is quick, safe and completely painless.

The small weld is done directly on the chain using a specialist jewellery welder, and your skin is protected throughout the process. Most customers are surprised by how quick and comfortable it feels.

Can permanent jewellery be removed?

Yes — permanent jewellery is designed to stay on, but it can be removed easily if needed.

You can simply snip the small welded jump ring with scissors or wire cutters. Many customers remove theirs temporarily for medical procedures, surgery or personal preference.

If you’d like it reattached later, we can usually re-weld it during a future appointment.

Can I wear permanent jewellery through airport security?

Yes. Sterling silver permanent jewellery is fine to wear through airport security and metal detectors.

Most customers travel regularly with their bracelets or anklets without any issues.

What happens if I need surgery or an MRI scan?

Some hospitals or medical professionals may ask you to remove jewellery before certain procedures, operations or MRI scans.

If this happens, your permanent jewellery can usually be carefully snipped off at the weld point and re-welded afterwards.

We recommend checking directly with your medical provider if you have an upcoming procedure.

Can I shower, swim and exercise wearing it?

Yes — permanent jewellery is designed for everyday wear.

You can shower, swim, sleep and exercise while wearing your bracelet or anklet. Sterling silver is durable and suitable for daily life.

To keep your jewellery looking its best, we recommend:

• Rinsing after swimming in chlorine or salt water

• Avoiding harsh chemicals where possible

• Gently polishing occasionally with a silver cloth

Will sterling silver tarnish?

Sterling silver can naturally oxidise over time, especially when exposed to moisture, skincare products, perfumes or chemicals.

This is completely normal and not a fault in the jewellery.

The good news is that sterling silver can easily be cleaned and polished to restore its shine. Regular wear often helps slow tarnishing too.

What happens if my chain breaks?

While permanent jewellery is designed for everyday wear, fine chains can occasionally catch or snap.

If your chain breaks:

• Keep the chain if possible

• Contact us and we’ll advise on re-welding or repair options

• In many cases, we can reattach the original chain

Breakages caused by accidental pulling or catching are considered wear-related rather than faults, but we’ll always do our best to help.

Do you offer re-welding appointments?

Yes — we offer re-welding appointments for customers who need their jewellery reattached after removal or accidental breakage.

If you still have the original chain and it’s in suitable condition, we can often re-weld it quickly during a short appointment.

Please contact us before booking if you’re unsure whether your chain can be repaired.

Is permanent jewellery safe?

Yes. Your safety and comfort are extremely important to us.

We use professional jewellery welding equipment, and protective measures are used throughout the process. The weld itself is tiny, precise and completed within seconds.

If you have medical concerns, allergies or sensitive skin, we’re always happy to discuss this with you before your appointment.

Can I have permanent jewellery if I wear a pacemaker?

If you have a pacemaker or any implanted medical device, we recommend speaking with your doctor or medical professional before booking your permanent jewellery appointment.

As a precaution, we do not weld directly on customers with pacemakers or certain implanted medical devices unless medical clearance has been confirmed.

Your safety is always our priority, and we’re happy to discuss alternative options where possible.

What if I have sensitive skin?

Our permanent jewellery chains are sterling silver, which many people with sensitive skin wear comfortably.

However, everybody’s skin is different. If you have known metal allergies or sensitivities, please contact us before booking so we can help advise you.

Can children have permanent jewellery?

We currently offer permanent jewellery for suitable ages with parental supervision and consent.

If you’re booking for a younger customer, please contact us before your appointment so we can discuss the best options.

How long does an appointment take?

Most appointments take around 30 minutes per person and any personalised additions such as charms or connectors.

We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can relax and enjoy the experience.

Absolutely. Permanent jewellery is perfect for:

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes — a small non-refundable booking deposit is required to secure your appointment.

This deposit is deducted from your final balance on the day.

Can I add charms or personal touches?

Yes. You can personalise your permanent jewellery with selected charms, birthstones, initials and connectors to create something meaningful and unique to you.

​

Is permanent jewellery a good gift?

It makes a beautiful experience gift for birthdays, anniversaries, bridal parties, friendships and special milestones.

Many customers choose permanent jewellery to mark memories, relationships and meaningful moments together.
