Silver Christmas Tree Earrings

This is a short workshop suitable for beginners, making a pair of silver Christmas tree earrings, just in time for the party season! During this session you will get to practise some of the traditional silversmith techniques needed to create your own pair of silver earrings. You will have the opportunity choose from 6 different Christmas tree shapes to make a pair of simple studs or a pair of dangle's. This course will give you a taste of working in a metal work shop, using traditional tools and techniques. A brilliant workshop for anyone who is interested in the mechanics of metal work and would like a new pair of earrings just in time for Christmas parties! During this course you will practise the following; Using a jewellers saw and disc cutters to cut your silver to measure Shaping the silver Adding texture and patterns using a variety of techniques Create earring wires Soldering components Sanding and clean up of solder joint Finishing and polishing. Mince pies are included.
