Marsh Farm Flowers

Service Description

Spend a day immersed in the beauty of a working flower farm, where every stage of your experience is inspired by nature. This exclusive collaboration between Clare from Halton Village Silver and Holly from Marsh Farm Flowers combines horticulture, creativity and silversmithing into one unforgettable day surrounded by amazing views of the flower farm. Set within the beautiful surroundings of Marsh Farm Flowers in Cheshire, you'll begin with a guided tour of the flower farm led by Holly. As you wander through the seasonal borders, you'll discover how British flowers are grown sustainably while learning about the different varieties that flourish throughout the year. Holly will share both her experiences from building a flower farm and knowledge of flowers and grow them. Along the way you'll be encouraged to look a little closer, seeking out delicate leaves, textured grasses, intricate seed heads and tiny botanical treasures that hold remarkable detail that is often overlooked. With Holly's plant knowledge and Clare’s guidance you'll carefully collect a selection of natural specimens that will become the inspiration for your jewellery. After the tour, you'll settle into the pop up workshop space on the farm with Clare from Halton Village Silver. Using the botanical material you've gathered, you'll learn how to create your own detailed moulds before using precious silver clay to transform those impressions into fine silver jewellery. Every vein in a leaf, every tiny texture and every natural pattern is captured, creating jewellery that is completely unique to your day on the farm. Whether you choose to create a pendant, earrings or another keepsake, you'll leave with a piece of jewellery that can never be replicated. While your silver clay dries, it's time to head back into the flower fields. Armed with a bucket and secateurs, you'll enjoy the pleasure of picking your own seasonal flowers, selecting approximately 30 stems to create a beautiful arrangement to take home. Wander through the rows at your own pace, choosing colours, textures and shapes that catch your eye, while Holly shares advice on cutting and arranging British flowers. Finally, you'll return to complete your silver jewellery, refining and polishing your finished piece until it gleams. By the end of the day you'll take home: • A handcrafted piece of fine silver botanical jewellery • Your own botanical moulds to keep • A generous 30-stem bucket of seasonal flowers
