Full Day Silver Clay One to One

Service Description

This is a very special full day private one to one workshop designed for you to create your own projects using the magical silver clay. Bring your own ideas and plans to the workshop, and get the support to make them become reality. There are a huge range of texture plates and moulds available on the day to help create your pieces and guidance on creating your own personal design. We also can use two part moulding compound to create moulds from your own items, maybe a special texture or some thing lovely from your garden. If you wish to bring your own items for making moulds, then we can book a shot Zoom meeting prior to the session to discuss suitability - not everything will make a good impression in the moulding process so lets plan ahead. 10g of Silver Clay is included in this workshop, which is enough to make several projects depending on the size of the pieces. Additional silver clay can be purchased if required for your planned pieces. You will also have 10g of silver clay paste to use to create a stunning silver leaf pendant. This is a lovely technique to learn. In addition we shall explore embeddable earring studs, jump rings and fireable CZ to explore stone setting and provide you with the skills to develop your own ideas. On the course you will do the following; • Explore your tools and learn what each does • Spend some time planning your pieces and creating designs, considering the use of CZ and embeddable findings • Make moulds using the items you have brought (these are for you to take home) • Mould the clay • Dry the clay • Torch fire the piece • Complete the final polish Silver Clay is a really enjoyable and easy way to take the first steps towards making your own silver jewellery. Beginners can achieve some really lovely results, and those who have already gained some experience of using silver clay will find the day really useful in adding new techniques to your skill set. We shall torch fire the pieces to ensure that you have the knowledge to be able to fire projects at home without a kiln, making this a really accessible hobby to continue at home.
