Aluminium stamping workshop

This is a short course lasting approximately an hour is suitable for beginners, creating stunning stamped aluminium jewellery. During this session you will get to practise using metal stamps and texture hammers to create individual aluminium pieces. This course will give you a taste of working in a metal work shop, using traditional tools and techniques. A brilliant taster for anyone who is interested in the mechanics of metal work. This workshop is a fabulous opportunity for young people to experience metal smithing and a metal work studio. During this short course, each participant will have the opportunity to use the wide range of metal stamps and texture hammers available in the studio to create individual aluminium cuffs, pendants and key rings. How about making your fave pooch a new name tag? Or a shiny cuff with an inspirational saying? We have loads of aluminium blanks to choose from. While you are in the studio, enjoy a soft drink of your choice and packet of biscuits to make sure you keep up your strength for hammering! This session includes; 1 x aluminium cuff blank 2 x aluminium blanks of your choice 1 x waxed cord necklace 1 x soft drink and packet of biscuits This session is suitable for anyone over the age of 10 years who are accompanied by an adult. Any one over the age of 16 years can attend the studio without an adult.
