Enamelled Jewellery Workshop

Service Description

This full day course based in my workshop , will let you try different skills and techniques to create your very own, handmade by you, enamelled jewellery. During the day you will get to try your hand at adding colour and patterns to copper pieces using vitreous enamel. You will get to design your own enamel blanks for saw piercing, as well as using die cutters to punch out shapes and choose from some of the ready made blanks stocked in the studio. Equipment for both torch and kiln firing will be available on the day, so that you can experience both methods and compare the different results that can be achieved. You will explore using millefiori, flakes and threads to create unique designs as well as using transfers and templates to add patterns to your pieces. Included in this course is everything you need to test out techniques and colours, and then create two pairs of earrings and two pendants using copper and enamel, plus silver jump rings and earring wires to complete your pieces. There is an option to purchase silver chains for pendants if required on the day. Hot and cold drinks and light snacks available. Please bring your own lunch.
