Duo of Earrings Workshop

This is a full day course suitable for beginners or improvers, making a duo of silver earrings. During this session you will get to practise some of the traditional silversmith techniques needed to create two different style earrings. You will have the opportunity to design and make a pair of simple stud earrings, and a pair of hoops or dangle's. This course will give you a taste of working in a metal work shop, using traditional tools and techniques. A brilliant day for anyone who is interested in the mechanics of metal work. During this course you will practise the following; Design your earrings Using a jewellers saw and disc cutters to cut your silver to measure Shaping the silver Adding texture and patterns using a variety of techniques Create earring wires Soldering components Sanding and clean up of solder joints Finishing and polishing. Light refreshments are included, please bring your own lunch.
